Annex on 12th is an adaptive-reuse residential building located at the site of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s former Cotton Annex Building. For its interiors, we blended D.C.’s rich, historic character with contemporary style differentiated by a striking double-height lobby, Art Deco designs and preserved historical elements.
A breath of new life while maintaining historic character.
The building welcomes residents into a grand lobby with double-height ceilings and finishes inspired by the 1920s, including a custom backlit glass ceiling. Amenities for residents include a speakeasy, a co-working lounge, and a parlor designed with a constellation mural of the night sky.
