Taj, the owners, commissioned Champalimaud to develop an ambitious new master plan to refresh its public areas and function rooms. As always, Champalimaud approached this prestigious project with a deep respect for The Pierre's venerable position in the social fabric of New York City. Classical and modern details, including custom chandeliers and sconces, were integrated into the original 1930s neo-Georgian architecture.
